Murshidabad historical place nearest to the city is still prominent for an excursion or a family tour.

Our country is a land with a rich and varied history and all the cities have a history worth exploring for the tales of the past and people make a all year round tour to visit various historical places.  But the craze of the city people to visit the nearest historical place Murshidabad is still high. Almost throughout the year a number of people visit the place either in group in their locality, or with the members of their family. Even the school authorities also arrange for the students’ excursion to Murshidabad in their Summer or Puja vacation. Particularly in winter people from this twin city  make a beeline to visit this historical place.

“Every year we arrange an excursion for visiting historical place and we prefer to visit Murshidabad since it is nearest to the city and we can reach within three to four hours. We prefer to visit historical places because history helps the students discover how the world evolved and trains their mind and teaches to think and process information. A lack of historical knowledge prevents not only the students but the people as a whole from truly understanding the world they now live in.” – says S. K. Chatterjee, Head Master of Icchhapur High School, near Durgapur.
Ki bhabchen - ki jaani
Murshidabad is situated on the bank of Bhagirathi River. It was a city of Nawabs. Murshidabad is named after Nawab Murshid Quli Khan. In this city people can know about the best works which depicts the medieval period of Indian History. In the year 1767 the British established a military barrack. In 1857 Sepoy Mutiny had been taken birth in these barrack grounds.
Shri Souvik Mazumdar, registered Guide of this Museum says, “Major attraction in Murshidabad is the Hazarduari Palace. It is spread in 41 acres of land. It has thousand doors and so it is named as Hazarduari. (Hazar means thousand duari means doors.) It was built in the typical European style of architecture. Now the palace has been converted to a Museum. Actually it is the main attraction of the tour beside some other attractive places. Some starts their tour programme from this Museum and some ends their programme after a long visit of this place. The collection of armory, paintings, portraits of the Nawabs, Ivory works of China, the vintage cars really still attracts the people much still now .”
The beauty of Imambara.
Besides there is Imambara just opposite the Hazarduari palace which  was built in the year 1847 AD by Nawab Nazim Mansoor Ali khan son of Hymayun Jah. It is probably the largest building in India. The other spots are Katra Mosque, Jahankosha Canon, Jafarganj Cemetery, Khosh Bagh, Wasef Manzil, Katgola, Hira Jheel and Moti Jheel and many such attractive historical places.
The experts say it is better to stay there atleast two days to cover up all the spots nicely otherwise a hurricane tour will not serve the educative purpose of the students and research fellows. Staying options are    much there in affordable rates.
