In-house Training Programme in DTPS by the Quality Circle Forum of India, Kolkata Chapter.


Durgapur Thermal Power Station’s (DTPS) HRD Department had organized two days’ In-house Training Programme from 16th to 17th March in DTPS Station Club with  the  assistance of Quality Circle Forum India, Kolkata Chapter. Nearly a hundred officers and staff attended the Training programme for awareness and introduction, implementation and its benefits and operational sequence, identification of problems and its counter measure and syndicate exercise with application of problem solving tools and techniques.
Mr. P. Sen Roy, Chief Engineer, DTPS says, “To improve the overall performance of the employees and to enrich their work life, we have conducted such type of In-house Training Programme. This type of programme reduces errors and enhances quality and productivity, inspire more effective teamwork, increase motivation and promote job involvement and participation.”

Kajal Tiwari, Goutam Mukherjee, Pulak Chowdhury and many other participants are very happy. They all say, “Such type of programme helped us immensely. Though we are quite acquainted with all such things yet after participating in such training programme  our quality of positive thinking and morale have definitely been increased to a great extent. In fact these type of In-house Training programme enhances our attitude and builds better team work. ”
Mr. Jayanta Basu, Joint Secretary Faculty of the Forum says “QCFI’s objective is to promote and propagate the concept of Quality Circle as an integral part of Total Quality Management and focusing it as an important activity for human resource development in manufacturing industries, service organizations and public utility services, including government, thus augmenting the human potential for achieving higher quality, productivity and capacity utilizations. QCFI cater to this need of the organization's by training and assisting in implementation.”
Mr. A. Kumar, Personnel Manager (A) says, “To develop harmonious Manager- Worker relationship, to increase employees motivation and to build an attitude of problem prevention, we conduct many such training programme throughout the year. ”
Kousik Banerjee, PRA said, “The programme was highly appreciated by the participants. In fact now development of quality in all the spheres of life is required and to achieve the goal we had organized such programme by the renowned forum.”
