So much so people are becoming addicted with junk food and getting reluctant to physical labour, they are gaining unnecessary fats and weight. Overweight has become an invariable problem people are facing now and they are willing to go any length in quest of a lasting solution. Everybody wants to possess a skinny and healthy figure. From dawn to late night people are doing lots to loose their weight and to remain healthy and cheerful. Many a people are getting the fruits of their hard labour and remaining young and fit. Drinking Green Tea regularly can increase metabolism and helps burn fat safely and naturally. It also causes carbohydrate to be released slowly, preventing sharp increase in blood insulin levels. This promotes the burning of fat. ”

The anti oxidant properties of green tea prevent atherosclerosis particularly coronary artery diseases. Research shows that Green Tea lower total cholesterol and raises HDL Cholesterol. So men who drink Green Tea are more likely to have lower total cholesterol than those who do not drink Green Tea. It also shows that men who drink Green tea or take green tea extracts as a supplement have found a reduced risk of prostate cancer.

Weight is gained as excess sugars and fats are stored in the body as fat cells. Green tea catechins can help prevent obesity by inhibiting the movement of glucose in fat cells. Epigallocatechin gallate (EGCG) has been found to be especially effective. There is now good evidence that Green Tea catechins are related to reductions in body fat.
