Grand Felicitation Programme of Hem Sheela Model School
A grand Felicitation Programme was organized by Hem Sheela Model School on Friday, July 19, 2013 at 10:00 a.m. in their Drury Hem Sheela Recreation Centre to acknowledge the achievement of Academic Achievers and Achievers of all competitive exams in the National & State level. Mr. Soumen Chakraborty, Principal addressed the august gathering and congratulated each achiever on their grand success. He emphasized that “This year 2013 added another golden page to the archive of success of Hem Sheela Model School with the meritorious achievement of the student of Class X & Class XII. Hem Sheela Model School tries every possible way to make each student successful and reach zenith of success”. The guest of honour was Commissioner of Police, Asansol Durgapur Police Commissionarate, Shri Ajay Kumar Nand who in his speech emphasised about the conducive ambiance provided by the school for appropriate growth of each student. “There will be uncertainties but sail through it. If you think you can you will.”
Dr. Sushil Bhattacharjee (National Teacher), the other Honorable Members of the Management & Trust were other eminent guests. Our Founder President, Dr. R.N. Roy profoundly appreciated the parents and emphasized that the school is build on trust, confidence to build good future citizen of India and acknowledged the dedication of the Hem Sheela faculty, towards progressive growth and success of each Hemsheelites.
Trophy, Memento, Certificate was given to all achievers to acknowledge their brilliant academic achievement. Students felicitated – CGPA -10 points – total – 53 (Class – X), Class – XII above 90% (Science ) – Total – 89, Class – XII above 90% (Commerce) – Total 05, NEET – 14, IIT-5, WBJEE – 6 , KVPY – 4, UCO- 1, NDA -1.
Special achievers were felicitated – Irin Ghosh class IX first position in International Science Olympiad. Amik Mondal class – IX 3rd position in NASA Science Project. Special mention was made by the Principal regarding Swapnaneel Nath (Commerce batch 2013), who is going to Drury with 100% scholarship and also of Alumni Sayan Patra who graduated from Drury University with three majors & adjudged as the best student of the year. He is going to pursue his masters in Space Engineering from Washington University.
The programme ended with the Vote of thanks and infusing in each student the zeal to become an icon in future.
