Incredible Moments in the History of Hem Sheela Model School, Durgapur
The Annual Sports Day of Hem Sheela Model School was held on 16th
November2013 in the premises of their school. The Chief Guest on this
fabulous occasion was Shri Bibekananda Koner, Secretary of Hemchandra
Sheelabati Memorial Educational Trust who hoisted our Sports Flag
after the welcome address by the hon’able Principal Mr. Soumen
Chakraborty, followed by the Salute Taking Ceremony. The Students’
March Past was a gala performance, a display of their stamina and
spirit. The respected Chief Guest declared the Meet open, followed by
the release of Balloons and the ceremonial lighting of Flame, thereby
igniting the hearts of the budding Sport stars to exhibit their
enthusiasm and team spirit. The Students’ Council took their oath
followed by the spectacular Mass Drill, presented by their talented
students. Then 68 Track and Field Events were held including that of
the Parents, Teachers and Staff members who all exhibited their
enthusiastic fervor to make the programme a memorable one.
The Green House won with 170 points followed by the 1st runners-up,
Yellow House with 163 points and the 2nd runners-up, Red House with
146 points to their credit. The Champion of Champions for classes IX &
X are Soham Chandra and Nibedita Mondal both from class X and for
Classes XI & XII, Siddhartha Kar & Swarnali Mukherjee both from class
XI.
